Honda retains Rank1 position in the scooter segment. But, Suzuki is gaining a stronghold on the Market share front. The Two-Wheeler Industry clocked a figure of about 23,95,104 units this year YTD against last year's volume of about 22,76,856 units. The Industry has been almost flat with a marginal growth of about 1,18,248 units.
Honda retained Rank1, however, there is only a marginal volume growth seen. Honda saw a less than expected volume of about 12,15,023 units. This is about 2.82% growth against LY volumes. Also, Honda expressed a market share drop of -1.77% with a market share of 50.73%
TVS is the second-highest OEM by volume with about 4,79,989. TVS grew by 17,841 units. The market share now stands at 20.04% with a drop in market share of about -0.26%
Suzuki now strengthened the rank 3 position, hitting above the 3.37L volume again and with a volume growth of about 1,10,096 units. The market share stands at 14.10%, this was a whopping growth of 4.10%
Hero comes a distant fourth, with about 2L volume. With about 36,841 units growth. And a market share of 8.52%. The drop was about -2.06%
This year seems to be the year of Suzuki, with the highest volume growth of about 1,10,096. Suzuki has the highest gain in market share of about 4.10%. Suzuki has reached about 14.10% market share for YTD.
