Hyundai managed to retain its No.1 Passenger Vehicle Exporter tag in FY2021 and exported over 1.04 Lakh vehicles between April 2020 to March 2021. Maruti Suzuki came in a close second and was India's second-largest PV Exporter for FY2021.
Hyundai was India's No.1 PV Exporter and has a Market Share of over 25% in terms of exports. It exported 1,04,342 passenger cars between Apr'20 to Mar'21. With this, Hyundai emerged as India’s largest passenger vehicle exporter for the second year in a row.
Maruti has gained tremendous volumes in Exports and has easily surpassed Ford in FY2021. Maruti has gained the highest Market Share increase in exports this year and has placed itself in the second spot.
Recently Maruti Suzuki also surpassed the two million vehicle exports milestone when a batch of cars comprising the S-Presso, Swift and Vitara Brezza left for South Africa from Mundra Port in Gujarat. (source)
Ford registered the highest YoY fall in exports and now ranks third in the list. The pandemic has hit the export volumes too for the American automaker.
Kia has easily overtaken the likes of VW & Nissan in terms of exports in FY2021. Now the Korean Sisters (Hyundai + Kia) command an Export Market share of over 35%!
