Performance-Based Insights
Top 3 Performers (June 2024 Sales)
While the Creta’s dominance is understandable, it’s worth noting that the Venue failed to breach the 5-figure monthly dispatch figure. The introduction of the XUV3XO seems like the most likely reason. After all, it prompted Tata to first bring cheaper automatic variants and then lower the price of some Nexon variants. And then, it led to big (7-figure) discounts on the Nexon. Meanwhile, the Venue started getting discounts in January 2024 and the discounts have only gone up a little.
The other notable thing in Hyundai’s portfolio is the Exter. While its closest competitor is beating everything else in the market to achieve the top spot, the Exter is struggling to even get close to the 5-figure monthly production mark. In the event of an economic downturn, we can expect the buyers to move from higher price bands to lower ones. Perhaps then, we may see the Exter sales pick up.
