The UV market has seen its strongest growth in the Indian market and the production stood at 11,82,085 units even in FY2021 which was a pandemic year. It is a decent growth over 11,36,209 units SUVs produced in FY2020.
Out of the overall production, 1,37,825 UVs were exported in FY2021. However, the export volumes dropped from 1,83,468 units UVs exported in FY2020.

Kia climbed up three ranks to reach the number 1 spot. Kia saw volume growth of about 88.43%. Seltos is now in Top 3 Exported Passenger Vehicle and also the No.1 exported Mid SUV! Seltos is currently being exported to over 40 countries in South Africa, South America & South Asian markets from the Indian subcontinent. India will serve as a core manufacturing hub for Kia and even Sonet is also being exported to over 70 countries. Do note that Sonet is currently being produced only in India and shipped to markets like Middle-East, Africa, Latin America, and Asia.
Next we saw Ford and Hyundai with rank 2 and rank 3.
Highest growth came from Renault with 227% growth.

Market share of Kia grew the highest and registered the largest market share growth.
Interestingly MSIL has climbed up 3.6% in the market share front.
Ford and Hyundai were ranked 2 and 3 OEMs in the export. Ford had the highest degrowth in the market share and lost close to 19.25%.
