Tata Motors maintains its dominance in Electric Vehicle Sales and commanded a Market Share of 70% in Passenger EV space with Nexon EV & Tigor EV in its portfolio.
Electric Car Sales for the month of February 2021:
Nexon EV was India's No.1 selling Electric Car for February 2021. The model commanded a Market Share of 60% and the sales fell -14.6% in Feb'21 v/s Jan'21.
MG's eZS recorded its all-time highest monthly sale with 204 units and grew a stellar 64.5% MoM. The model also garnered over 350 orders in Feb'21 (source).
Hyundai's Kona is slowly losing the race and sold just 10 units in Feb'21. The model sales fell -52% in Feb'21 v/s Jan'21.
Tata's Tigor saw a sudden surge in sales for Feb'21. The model registered a 441% MoM increase and seems to be serving a bulk / institutional order.
Do note that the Electric Car space is now dominated by SUVs. 3 out of the 4 models are SUVs (Nexon, ZS & Kona).
