Around 3.51 Lakh passenger cars were sold in the Indian market in November 2024. Sales increased by 5% over November last year and dropped by 11.6% compared to October 2024.
November was a litmus test for the Industry as it is usually a dull month for manufacturers. Customers tend to postpone their purchases to December, anticipating higher discounts from both dealers and OEMs. However, the marriage season and the availability of great deals from the OEMs (offers link) helped sustain volumes and record a 5% growth over November last year. The stock situation at the dealerships remained high and it is going to be a good month for car buyers as the best discounts of the year is expected to be given in December.

Tata Motors registered an offtake of 47,063 units in Nov’24, up from 46,070 vehicles sold in Nov’23, recording a 2.2% growth in sales. Also, Tata Motors EV range sales was up by 9%, amounting to 5,202 units for Nov’24.
