OLX Autos Gets A New Chief Executive Officer!

The former President of and Chief Executive Officer of Star Sports Gautam Thakar is now appointed as the global CEO of the pre-owned car selling/buying platform owned by OLX Auto. Gautam Thakar will be overseeing and managing the online as well as the offline presence of the brand throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America and the US regions.

OLX Auto is an online and offline second-hand car selling platform that is a part of the OLX Group owned by Prosus group. OLX Autos has a sum total of over 500 inspection centers which generate over 130,000 transactions per year from the offline mode of the business alone.

Prior to Star Sports Gautam has also worked with eBay as the CEO of shopping.com. Gautam Thakar will be looking at the global operations of OLX Autos through India itself while leading a team of over 4000 employees across the globe. He will be starting with the new role from the 15th of March 2021.
