Maruti Suzuki's Ertiga emerged as India's best-selling car for the second month in a row with dispatches of 18,785 units! The MUV was significantly ahead of next-in-line Swift. Seven-seater cars have picked up traction this year and is reflecting in the growth of models like Scorpio, XUV700, Innova, Carens. The value proposition of 7-seater MUVs/SUVs is definitely higher and catching the attention of buyers. XUV700 crossed 10k mark for the first time ever and the >Rs.2 Lakh price cut in July'24 worked wonders for the model.
Hyundai's Creta remained to be the best-selling SUV and ranked third in overall for Oct’24 as well. It had a clear lead over other models in the segment (Grand Vitara, Seltos, etc). It even outsold the Sub-4m SUV models in Oct’24. Maruti's Brezza followed closely for the fourth spot and registered volumes of 16,565 units.
Tata's best-selling model Punch was India's 7th best-selling car for Oct'24. Nexon finally managed to fare in the Top 10 and was also supported by the recently launched CNG variant with features like panoramic sunroof supported the model.
