Toyota Kirloskar Motors : Labour strike ends.

TKM announced that the labour strike at it’s Bidadi-based plant has ended.

It was November Last year, when the OEM had declared a lockout at the factory, following incidents where worker’s union members resorted to a sit in strike at the factory premises. The reason they had resorted to the strike was suspension of a worker.

The employee union has called the strike officially. It is interesting to note that a major of the total 3,350 employees had already resumed work much earlier, however the official ending of the strike came into effect.

The company said that the Karnataka government and the Department of Labour, played a crucial role in facilitating the reconciliation, between all parties.

"Going forward, TKM will continue to work towards strengthening this value system by fostering relationships based on collaboration, trust, discipline and mutual respect," it added.

With the production unit now coming back in full swing we can now expect the capacity utilisation of about 3.10 lakhs to be maximised and the volume of Innova and Fortuner especially to pick up here on.
