Two Wheeler dispatches crossed 13.8 Lakh units in July 2022 and was the highest monthly volume in the past 9 months! The uptick in dispatches is primarily due to stocking up for the upcoming festive season. It can also be attributed to an improved supply chain, good monsoons, increased economic activity and fully opening up of educational institutions/offices.
Atsushi Ogata, Managing Director, President & CEO, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India said that factors like good monsoon and increased demand for personal mobility have translated well to an increase in customer walk-ins and enquiries. He mentioned in a statement “Commencing second quarter on a high along with coming festive season, we expect to regain the growth momentum at a faster rate”.
Satoshi Uchida, Managing Director of Suzuki Motorcycle India Ltd said, “This sales number shows an increasing demand in India and overseas. With gradual improvement in the supply chain, we expect to keep witnessing this sales momentum in the future too.”
